I was inspired to make a companion robot after watching Wall-E. I liked Eve’s design, so I referenced this design from her. The reason why it’s cat-shaped is because I’ve always wanted to get a cat, but have been unable to because of my mom. So I decided to design a product that is a cat-shaped robot that can accompany you while you work. The functionality will be similar to how Siri or Alexa works but with a cuter voice. The arms can also extend out, which can be used to touch an object such as a ball to play around while you watch it, and also show more expression. Although it might sound useless, looking at a cat-shaped robot while making cute noises will be mentally healing, similar to how people watch cute dog and cat videos when they feel down.
